Pigeon Forge's nightlife scene is as "dry" as the county that it resides in for exactly the same reason. Pigeon Forge resides in Sevier County and it is a dry county and has been for some time. Only Gatlinburg is the exception to this rule, and so to find nightlife, one must drive or take the Fun Time Trolley to Gatlinburg to find a drink. Gatlinburg was grandfathered in, so they can still serve alcohol. Alf's Restaurant in Sevierville was also grandfathered in but it is the only place of business in Sevierville that was. Pigeon Forge has a few dinner theaters and standard theaters that could prove to be a night's entertainment for those so inclined to this form of entertainment. The local movie theater can also be a source of night time entertainment followed up with an ice cream and a hot chocolate and an early night's rest. There are also no dance clubs in Pigeon Forge so don't bother packing your dancing shoes for this family friendly destination. Luckily if you are a nightlife hound and looking for a good time, Gatlinburg is a short trip away and has many of the attractions that Pigeon Forge lacks.
